Here are some of the new Windows features once the update is installed. Some of this information is provided by Microsoft’s volunteer test group, Windows 10 Insider Preview.
DISK CLEANUP– If you are using any version of Windows on your computer, you probably value Disk Cleanup. It makes us all feel like we are real techies. Well, get ready to say goodbye, a new upgrade for Windows 10 replaces it with a new Free Up Space tool.
How to find it: Go to Settings > System > Storage > Free Up space Now
PHONE APP – Your Microsoft Phone app will allow you to access your Android photo library on your desktop
MICROSOFT EDGE – If you use the Microsoft Edge browser, you’ll notice new management controls for autoplay audio.
BROWSER TABS – If you choose “Window”, new windows won’t open into a new tab unless you explicitly click the + or drag with your mouse. Choosing “Tab” opens any new windows invoked from your running apps into tabs.
NEW SCREENSHOT TOOL — According to the Microsoft Blog, “One of the loudest things we heard is that you want to be able to quickly snip & share a screenshot, and we’re making it happen!” WIN + Shift + S will now bring up a snipping toolbar – snip a rectangle, something a bit more freeform, or full screen and it will go straight to your clipboard. If that’s all you need, you can take it from there.
